Mass Appeal recently caught up with Mac Miller and ScHoolboy to talk about the Rostrum Records artist’s new album Watching Movies With The Sound Off. Q gives his take on the project and gives it somewhat of a review. Joking throughout the entire shoot, Q advises viewers not to buy Mac’s album because his music is so bad and also states that he shouldn’t even be hanging out with Mac Miller anymore but not before threatening to beat him up. Needless to say it’s obvious these two are good friends and in a funny demeanor are practicing a different take on promoting on the album.

VIDEO: Juicy J – Trippy Tour | Pt. 7
Juicy J and company share some behind the scenes and special moments caught on the road that compile the last stretch of the Stay Trippy Tour. In part seven, the finale showcases Juicy busy in the studio working on new music, making a visit to The Source magazine in New York for an interview, performing at multiple venues including one in Ohio with rapper Machine Gun Kelly, almost running into a tornado with his tour bus, smoking plenty of weed and of course managing to live the trippy lifestyle every step of the way.
VIDEO: Juicy J Brings Out Wiz Khalifa For “The Plan” In Hollywood
I can’t even lie. Seeing just how hyped the venue was and how great of a show Juicy put on for the crowd has me a little salty I wasn’t able to attend and cover the event. Originally, I was suppose to be delivering to all of you some exclusive content for the site, however, I got jammed up at the door by House of Blues employees and security. I was told though I had access to the show, I wouldn’t be allowed to shoot any video due to “venue policy”. In the clip above, that’s clearly a video camera on stage filming Juicy and the epic moment that took place with Wiz Khalifa hitting the stage to perform “The Plan” off his O.N.I.F.C. album. Perhaps I was not worthy enough to professionally cover the event for unknown reasons? Whatever.
Still, check out some cool visuals of Juicy J closing out his Stay Trippy tour and performing “The Plan” with Wiz live in Hollywood. There is also a cameo from Big Sean who apparently was in attendance along with the likes of Miley Cyrus and others. Take a look at some backstage footage of the gang blowing smoke and celebrating another successful sold out show to cap things off with.

Fast forward to 2013, the emcee and producer are still at it and delivering that classic gritty, gutter and sample based sound they’ve mastered with the latest single and video for “Dough Pildin” off the album. Check out P push through the city while offering up friendly reminders of his accomplishments in the game and spittin’ raw verses about doing whatever needs to be done to keep his money pildin’.
VIDEO: Ski Beatz – Off The Record w/ LRG
Ski Beatz sits down with LRG for their Off The Record series and talks about his early influences which made him pursue his dreams in Hip-Hop. Interestingly enough, Ski shares that he was originally a part of a group called Original Flavor and rapped before deciding to put the mic down and stick the production side after being introduced and hearing Jay-Z rap. The producer recalls impressing DJ Clark Kent which eventually ended up opening up the door of opportunity for Ski and allowing him to grow creatively and professional in the music industry.
VIDEO: Jay-Z Announces New Magna Carta Holy Grail Album w/ Samsung
During Sunday’s NBA Playoff game between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs, Jay-Z decided to take over halftime with his Magna Carta Holy Grail album announcement. Surrounded in the studio with the likes of Rick Rubin, Timbaland, Pharrell, and Swizz Beatz Hov and company played production snippets that more than likely will be featured on the highly anticipated upcoming album. With a fun and joking demeanor, Jay-Z laid “the blueprint” out for what was to come and shared his creative thoughts on the direction for the project.
The more shocking part of the commercial announcement is Jigga Man’s exclusive deal with Samsung to have a priority release of the album three days in advance for the first million Samsung Galaxy mobile users. Owners of the phone will have the opportunity to download a Google Play application which will give them exclusive access to Jay-Z’s 12th album for completely free at 12:01 a.m. on July 4.
VIDEO: Chief Keef – Round Da Rosey
You’re going to want to sit down and pay close attention to understand this one. Young Chicago rapper Chief Keef delivers a new video for his song “Round Da Rosey”. In typical Keef fashion, the rapper is blinged out and posted in front of a big house surrounded by luxury vehicles and good smoke. Always willing to be an innovator and push the envelope, the gang affiliated rapper spits braggadocios lyrics to the tune of the nursery rhyme “Ring Around The Rosie”. Hard to believe? See for yourself in the visual below.

VIDEO: Kanye West – American Psycho | Yeezus Trailer
Kanye West continues his artistic promotional run for his upcoming album Yeezus with a new teaser which has recently hit the net. The trailer which serves as a teaser to the album features Scott Disick portraying actor Christian Bale’s character and reenacting a scene from the 2000 film American Psycho. Also starring the in the trailer as a gullible victim is Kim Kardashian’s friend Jonathan Cheban.
In the clip above, Disick is seen behaving strangely, pacing back and forth, praising Kanye West’s Yeezus album while “New Slaves” plays in the background, and wielding an axe to which he eventually uses to gruesomely kill Cheban’s character. For Kanye, this type of outside the box promotion works simply because it’s different and will prompt a discussion among viewers.
VIDEO: Kendrick Lamar K104 On-Air Freestyle w/ A Bay Bay
Kendrick Lamar recently paid a visit to K104 in Dallas, Texas and sat down with radio DJ A Bay Bay and kicked a special freestyle in celebration of his 26th birthday. Watch as K. Dot is given key words to incorporate into his rhymes and does his thing live on-the-spot for the listeners.
ScHoolboy Q was also in attendance and seated right next to Kendick as he appeared to be nodding off during the duration of the interview. Not sure if there should be some level of concern for Q in regards to his drug intake or perhaps the TDE artist was simple tired as they are all currently on the road for the Good Kid m.A.A.d City Tour.
