kanyewestFans can rejoice as Kanye West and Hype Williams have announced that they will soon be releasing a new film to theaters.  A new teaser recently went live on KanyeWest.com that features some pretty amazing visuals captured during the G.O.O.D. Music rapper’s Yeezus tour.  However, there is no official release date set in stone just yet.  West and Williams have worked together off and on for years and collectively released 19 music videos together.

NEWS: Adidas Confirms Partnership w/ Kanye West

Kanye West will be kicking off 2014 in a big way as he prepares to push his new clothing line and sneaker deal with Adidas.  After recently going on HOT 97’s The Angie Martinez Show for an interview, Yeezy opened up about his frustrations with Nike and addressed rumors that he had apparently signed a new deal with adidas.  However, after being questioned on whether the deal was finalized by Martinez, West decided not to clarify and instead reassured listeners that he would soon become the “Tupac of product.”  Today, adidas released an official statement and has announced that the new business venture between the two giants is indeed true.

“For 2014, we welcome to the adidas family one of the most influential cultural icons of this generation, Kanye West. Well known for breaking boundaries across music, film and design and partnering with our history in street wear culture and leading innovations in sport, we look forward to creating a new chapter. Kanye West continues to make his promotional runs around New York and yesterday the rapper stopped by Sway In The Morning on Shade 45.  After the audio first leaked of the two having an argument on air, Calloway and company do the honors of unveiling the interview in its entirety.  Take a look as Kanye addresses his motivation for having A Tribe Called Quest open up for him on the Yeezus tour, the motivation and creativity behind DONDA and gives listeners insight into his frustrations with being black balled in the fashion industry.  Things get heated quickly after Sway encourages Yeezy to leave the companies behind and fund his own movement in order to jump start his vision.  Cooler heads eventually prevailed as Yeezy apologized and went on to explain why his deal with Nike fell through, how he lost $13 million with his failed clothing line and so much more

Now this was a dope interview and a refreshing detour from the questions everyone else is asking Kanye right now.  The Chicago emcee sat down with Peter Rosenberg and Cipha sounds for the latest episode of Juan Epstein.  Yeezy credits NO ID as being his biggest inspiration as a producer, touches on his early influences like Premo and Pete Rock, College Dropout and more.  West also revealed that in the studio he really has no preference between an MPC or ASR, the moment he realized his step brother was a crackhead, looks back on working with J Dilla and explains that Michael Jackson was responsible for motivating him to put together 808s and Heartbreak.  Before calling it a wrap, Kanye took the opportunity to call out the former heads of Rawkus Records for passing up on signing him because they felt he didn’t have a certain look.
