The film is set to premiere on January 17 and will also showcase the acting skills of John Leguizamo and Laurence Fishburne. The premise of the film centers around Hart’s character who is portrayed as a bumbling security guard who wants to marry his girlfriend but first must get the approval of her hard cop brother played by Ice Cube. The buddy cop film takes off after Hart’s character decides to enroll into the police academy and purse a career in law enforcement alongside his future brother-in-law.
