Young Chris paid DJ Enuff a visit over at HOT 97 for the latest episode of his Hot Box series.  The Philly native opens things up by explaining to viewers that his new Vital Signs EP will serve as a prelude to his forthcoming Alive LP.  Chris also weighs in on the importance for him to cater to his core audience which he credits for holding him down no matter what.  The rapper addressed the current Hip Hop scene in Philadelphia and reflected on his early days with Roc-A-Fella.  Before heading out, Young Chris hopped on the microphone and delivered a lyrical tirade over a couple of instrumentals courtesy of DJ Enuff who was on the turntables.

Apparently even GQ is capitalizing on exclusive content and visuals these days as they release a new “GQ Freestyle” with Kendrick Lamar.  The video showcases the young Compton native as he gets spruced by for his GQ Men of the Year photo shoot with the magazine.  In between all the flashing lights, Lamar stops to drop a couple of bars in front of a white backdrop as a few extras on set make sure he looks real dapper for the camera.  Kendrick Lamar is set to be featured in the December 2013 issue of GQ.

Troy Ave and his BSB crew paid Boss Lady and DJ Steel a visit for an exclusive interview and freestyle on Shade 45’s Hip Hop Nation.  Watch the hungry New York emcee kicks a freestyle over a couple of random instrumentals on the spot for listeners tuning in.  King Sevin, Young Lito and Avon Blocksdale also joined in on the lyrical madness and showcase their skills with some impressive bars.
