Revolt TV’s Sharon Carpenter jumps on Skype with Trinidad James for an exclusive interview to get the Atlanta native’s thoughts on the controversy surrounding his New York comments.  James opens things up by clarifying that the message he was trying to convey on stage in Brooklyn was that he feels Atlanta runs New York radio.  The “All Gold Everything” rapper shares the motivation behind his comment and explains that he blames the media for instigating the situation by only focusing on one excerpt.  James goes on to say that he would never disrespect New York, his choice of words he used wasn’t what he really meant and more.

After getting in touch with HOT 97 and voicing his opinion, Maino decides to continue his campaign against Trinidad James and calls into Power 105 for an interview.  Maino makes it clear he feels New York is to be blamed for allowing James to feel comfortable enough to run his mouth and explains that essentially the “All Gold Everything” rapper is opening the door for more disrespect from other artists.  The rapper continued by stating that he feels the city is disorganized.  Before hanging up, Maino calls into question James’ street credibility and clarifies he’s opening to disciplining him.

Maino gets in contact with the HOT 97 Morning Show to weigh in on his recent comments in response to Trinidad James’ New York rant.  After the “All Gold Everything” rapper decided to spazz out a recent performance and claim that the South runs New York hip hop, Maino made it a point to call in and clarify that what really got under his skin was when the rapper indirectly challenged anyone who disagreed with him to a fight.  Take a listen as Maino downplays Trinidad’s comments and explains to Rosenberg and Ebro why the young rapper crossed the line.

Plenty of eyebrows were raised recently at Trinidad James’ live show in New York.  The Atlanta native decided to stop midway through his set to go on rant about the decline of New York hip hop and spoke highly of his forthcoming album which is currently in the works for 2014.  James reflected on the city’s former dominance of the music industry with hometown acts like Dipset and didn’t bite his tongue when he blurted that the South runs New York hip hop.  In fact, James came off very disrespectful as he explained to the audience that East Coast rappers might as well claim to be from Atlanta.  In-between Trinidad’s offensive comments, the rapper also decided to briefly weigh in on Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” line about being “King of New York.”

Migos releases a new music video for their new collaboration with Riff Raff and Trinidad James called “Jumpin’ Out Da Gym.”  If one thing’s for sure, all these guys do a fine job of not outshining each other as they have some fun and add their own special flavor to the mix over a bouncy instrumental.  Backed by World Star Hip Hop, the visual finds each artist lacing the track with braggadocios rhymes related to sports.  “Jumpin’ Out Da Gym” is set to be featured on the group’s upcoming Young Rich Niggas 2 project.
