Take a listen as DJ Whoo Kid had the opportunity to interview Marshall Mathers over the phone on Shade 45 satellite radio. Em gets into his experience with working with Rick Rubin and explains why he’s a major fan of the legendary producer. Slim Shady also touches on the album’s rock infused instrumentals which he clarifies was a conscious decision in order to evoke the sound reminiscent of early Beastie Boys and Run-DMC. Before calling it a wrap, the rapper addressed his recent collaboration “The Monster” featuring Rihanna, recording “Love Game” in Detroit with Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre.

TDE’s newest signees Isaiah Rashad and SZA combine forces for a new collaborative song titled “Ronnie Drake.” Equipped with a laid back instrumental courtesy of producer Antyedote, Rashad decides to reflect on the hardships that surrounded him out on the block in Chattanooga. Songstress SZA takes the wheel on the song’s chorus and adds her smooth vocals to the mix. No telling exactly what project this will land on but for now take a listen.

Detroit native Eminem combine forces with Compton native Kendrick Lamar for “Love Game,” one of the many standout tracks featured on Slim Shady’s upcoming eighth studio album The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Take a listen as Lamar and Em’ keep things strictly lyrical and serve up their explicit take on love and relationships. Back in June a photo of Kendrick Lamar and Eminem working together in the studio surfaced and subsequently resulted in the excitement of fans everywhere who patiently waited to see what would come about. There’s no telling if “Love Game” is the only song or one of many that came about during that particular session but if this was the creative direction they were going in, I think it’s safe to say that listeners would love to hear more from these two powerhouse emcees. The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is due out on November 5.
