Troy Ave recently stopped by Shade 45 for an exclusive on-air interview with DJ Whoo Kid.  Harry Powder opened things up by crediting 50 Cent, Master P, Biggie, and JAY Z as early influences.  As the current state of New York Hip Hop quickly became the topic of discussion, Troy reassured listeners that his music if a reflection of his real lifestyle and upbringing in the streets.  The Brooklyn rapper also elaborated on his friendship with Fabolous, explains how he was able to get Pusha T on his new album and much more.  Wu-Tang’s Raekwon also joins in on the conversation close to the 14 minute mark.

DJ Skee did the honors last night of premiering DJ Whoo Kid and Nipsey Hussle’s latest collaborative song and music video for “Shinin’ Like I’m Las Vegas.”  Apparently the new banger is set to be featured on Whoo Kid’s upcoming Nword Bond project which is set to be released soon.  The Dan The Man directed visual showcases Nipsey performing to the camera over at the Shade 45 radio station where Whoo Kid hosts his show Whoolywood Shuffle.

DJ Whoo Kid liberates his new music video for “More Champagne” which was premiered on this week’s episode of SKEE Live on AXS TV.  The Dan The Man directed visual showcases Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Ferg and Problem performing to the camera in different locations from New York To Los Angeles as they celebrate their success.  Take a listen to the catchy party jam which also boasts a couple of recognizable guitar rift samples from the James Bond theme song.

Eminem is in full promo mode as the release date for the legendary emcee’s forthcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, approaches next week on November 5.  Take a listen as DJ Whoo Kid had the opportunity to interview Marshall Mathers over the phone on Shade 45 satellite radio.  Em gets into his experience with working with Rick Rubin and explains why he’s a major fan of the legendary producer.  Slim Shady also touches on the album’s rock infused instrumentals which he clarifies was a conscious decision in order to evoke the sound reminiscent of early Beastie Boys and Run-DMC.  Before calling it a wrap, the rapper addressed his recent collaboration “The Monster” featuring Rihanna, recording “Love Game” in Detroit with Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre.

A$AP Ferg decides to perform at his buddy DJ Whoo Kid’s birthday party held at Greenhouse in New York.  Watch as Ferg rocks the small and intimate spot with some of his popular hits like “Work” and “Shabba.”  The visual also has some random visuals from the night’s festivities which also include Whoo Kid spinning for club-goers at his own function.

Too Short recently called into DJ Whoo Kid’s show on Shade 45 to give his side on exactly what happened last week to him after being pulled over right across the street from his home. The incident was initially reported as being a DUI but it looks like Short may have already beat the harder charges and might just get a slap on the wrist.
