TDE’s ScHoolboy Q visited Sway In The Morning on Shade 45 and decided to kick an off-the-top freestyle over five instrumentals for the “5 Fingers of Death Freestyle” segment. However, before getting into his raps, Q talked with Mr. Calloway about his recent world premiere for his new “Collard Greens” music video on MTV’s RapFix Live.
Wale links up with Sway Calloway and Heather B for an interview and in-studio performance of “Love Hate Thing” on “Sway In the Morning”. The MMG rapper also brings Fat Trel and Black Cocaine who also get the opportunity to hop on the microphone and fill fans in on what they’ve been up to. This was a great interview that Sway Calloway did with Uncle Snoop. At around the 11:00 mark Sway gets into some questions regarding Snoop’s gang bangin’ past, the old west coast vs east coast beef, his conflict with Tupac and the last time he saw Biggie alive. Snoop is gracious enough to share some pretty in depth and detailed past experiences that just command your attention. I enjoyed this interview and at the end you can catch a freestyle he drops with Heather B which was released not too long ago and I’m pretty sure it was posted on here somewhere. As discussions continue to play out over MTV’s yearly controversial Hottest MC’s List, Sway Calloway took the time to respond to Kanye’s recent comments made in regards to his current #7 spot.
Obviously annoyed, Kanye called HOT 97’s DJ Enuff and said, “I couldn’t believe it. I gave Sway his first TV. He came over to my crib in Newark, NJ. I was living in Newark doing beats for Jay and Beans and all them and I was getting a new TV and I gave Sway his first TV….really I didn’t really want to even like call to talk about the #7 list. I Just want to tell everybody that I gave Sway his first TV…and he needs to remember that.”
Sway recently took to his morning show Sway In The Morning on Shade 45 and said, “We made a master list, then we started debating. Not everybody on the table agreed with every number of artist…whether you average it out or you do the voting….this is where it comes…this is our list….that’s why it’s only people from MTV.” Be sure to tune in today at 4 p.m. EST. to Sway’s Rap Fix show streamed live at RapFix.MTV.com to catch a glimpse of Kanye’s previous TV that will sit in and co-host the show alongside Sway. Kanye West decided today to pick up the phone today and hit up The Angie Martinez Show in New York and speak with DJ Enuff about MTV’s current Hottest Mc’s list. In even more shocking news, Kanye went on to claim that he believes Lil Wayne is the best rapper in the world. Ye went on to talk about a number of topics and why his latest efforts deserve more recognition. Be sure to listen until the end where just before Kanye hangs up he states that he gave Sway Calloway his first TV and advises him to remember that.
