The line-up was filled with fan favorites like A$AP Ferg, A$AP Rocky, El-P, Killer Mike and Danny Brown. The special event also served as the second day of Trap Fest which showcases Ferg on tour through New York. A$AP Rocky and the A$AP Mob recently paid Funkmaster Flex a visit on HOT 97 and discussed a number of topics during a candid interview. After being asked by Flex about Kendrick’s “Control” verse, Rocky decides to brush off the TDE rapper’s “King of New YorK” line and jokes the Compton rapper is either crazy or smoking crack. A$AP Ferg also steps up to the microphone and proclaims: “What’s a king to a lord.” However, Rocky does share his thoughts on the move being good for Hip Hop and the art form’s competitive nature. All in all, the mob makes it clear they weren’t offended by Kendrick’s verse and tackle much more during their lengthy and in-depth conversation with Flex.

Irvine, Calif. was the location for the latest stop on the 2013 Under The Influence of Music Tour which showcased solid acts such as Harlem native A$AP Rocky. As Rocky finished up his set, he decided to close things out by showing support to fellow A$AP Mob member, A$AP Ferg, by rocking out with the crowd to his new single “Shabba” off his upcoming Trap Lord LP.

Overseas production duo Cookin’ Soul serve up a remix to A$AP Ferg’s recent single “Shabba” off his forthcoming album Trap Lord. Incorporating samples from Jamaican dancehall artist Shabba Ranks, Cookin’ Soul give the track a bit of a different sound with some deep 808 bass and claps but more or less stick to the formula that made the original a smash. Ferg touches on subjects like his work ethic, his unique sound, past paintings, having a Jewish accountant and lawyer, Harlem World, and much more.
