VIDEO: Chris Webby – Turnt Up ft Dizzy Wright | Behind The Scenes

A few weeks ago I linked up with Cloud Penz, Chris Webby, and Dizzy Wright in Glendale, to Gardena, and back to Long Beach to help shoot this behind the scenes footage with the SkeeTV crew.  Check out the footage above to see the young spitters doing their thing and shooting their 4/20 video for “Turnt Up”.  There’s definitely some dope shots set up for this video and I can’t wait to see how it all turns out. Back in 2003 Kendrick Lamar (at the time known as K-Dot) was hustling and on the come up.  This K-Dot’s first mixtape he released entitled Y.H.N.I.C. back when he was 16-years-old. Check out the stream below to hear the project which has Kendrick going in over a number of popular instrumentals during that time.  It’s always interesting to hear somebody’s growth and humble beginnings.

Except these messages sort of read more subliminal than congratulatory, according to Mac. “You expect it to be love off top. He’s doing [all this] suspect shit like, ‘You’re welcome Mac Miller’— You’re welcome for what? You want me to change the song name to Bill Gates? Whatever. [Laughs]”
