CTE’s latest addition to the squad, West Coast rapper YG, drops a new trailer for “My Nigga” which is featured on the recent in-house compilation Boss Yo Life Up Gang mixtape. The short clip flashes images of YG getting picked up by the police, being questioned, thrown behind bars, riding around in a lowrider and having drinks with the homies and smoking loud. From the looks of things, there may be some sort of cinematic concept behind this one with its underlining message revolving around friendship. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Gucci Mane links up and combines forces with Chief Keef for an upcoming visual for the collaborative track titled “Darker”. Directed by Spiff TV, the short trailer finds Gucci rapping a few bars over an ominous sounding track with heavy bass as some motocross action on bike’s and ATV’s goes down to entertain viewers. Look out for the full music video for “Darker” to drop soon.
Chief keep stays busy and keeps the visuals coming with a short new trailer for “Citgo”. The video finds Chief and his crew horsing around and livin’ it up as the instrumental for the Finally Rich track serves as the soundtrack. As of late, Sosa has been heavy on his grind and has dropped a number of videos and trailers so don’t be surprised if the final product pops up soon.
Maybach Music Group’s Stalley drops a new promotional black and white video which finds the MC sitting down under a spotlight while narrating his thoughts about the current state of Hip Hop and explains the concept behind Honest Cowboy. Kellen Dengler also helps out Stalley with some confessional style narration of his own for the intro. Fans can look forward to Stalley’s anticipated project dropping on August 8.

The Game returns to reality TV with the second season of VH1’s Marrying The Game. The show focuses on the ups and downs of rapper Game and his fiancé Tiffney Cambridge’s relationship as they attempt to seal the deal on their pending marriage. If you follow the show, you’ll remember the first season ended with Cambridge deciding last minute to cancel their marriage. Season two will chronicle the events that followed and focus on Game’s ordeal of having to balance his relationship as well as his demanding career. Meek Mill drops a short trailer with a few visuals fans can expect to see from the Philly native in his new music video for his hit single “Levels”. Directed by Hype Williams, the preview showcases some lavish MMG livin’ equipped with all the fine perks like a yacht, an exotic looking mansion, a luxurious Rolls Royce, bottles of Ciroc and of course a beautiful model. The cinematic appearance of the video also helps to build anticipation for its full unveiling. MMG fans can look forward to Self Made Vol. 3 dropping on its new release date of September 17.
Wayne and company deliver a short visual teaser for “God Bless Amerika” off Weezy’s upcoming I Am Not A Human Being II. Shot in New Orleans, Wayne recently found himself on the receiving end of some public outrage when behind-the-scenes footage surfaced a few weeks back and showed the YMCMB rapper accidentally stepping on the American flag during taping. Directed by Elf Rivera, the clip finds Weezy in his hometown of Hollygrove standing in front of the American flag rapping a few bars before the clip is abruptly stopped.
Artist, producer and member of the band The Pricks, Tito Rodriguez, delivers a new promo trailer for his upcoming debut solo LP The Message. Tito has been lacing tracks for some of the biggest names on the west coast for years and is now taking the opportunity to step up to the microphone and spread his positive message. Follow Tito through the east side of Long Beach, California as he gives words of encouragement and brings cameras through his old hood and speaks on his humble beginnings. The Message is set to drop sometime in July.
