Music signee talks “Somewhere in America” and shares his thoughts on Hov’s now infamous Miley Cyrus twerk line.  Hit also recalls speaking to Jay about a year before the album’s release and reassuring Jigga that he was ready and more than willing to collaborate with him whenever he decided to begin recording.  Hit-Boy also gives the details on how Jay-Z acquired the “Somewhere in America” instrumental which originally was going to be used by Travis $cott.  Before heading out, Hit-Boy also explains why he believes he brought the soulful and youthful sound to the album and gives his reasoning behind leaving G.O.O.D. Ski Beatz sits down with LRG for their Off The Record series and talks about his early  influences which made him pursue his dreams in Hip-Hop.  Interestingly enough, Ski shares that he was originally a part of a group called Original Flavor and rapped before deciding to put the mic down and stick the production side after being introduced and hearing Jay-Z rap.  The producer recalls impressing DJ Clark Kent which eventually ended up opening up the door of opportunity for Ski and allowing him to grow creatively and professional in the music industry.

Brooklyn emcee Joey Bada$$ recently performed out in Toronto for NXNE at the Yonge and Dundas Square and treated the crowd to a new track produced by the masked avenger MF Doom.  Backed by DJ and producer Statik Selektah, Joey debuted the song which also features Pro Era member Kirk Knight. The new banger will be featured on Joey’s upcoming Summer Knights EP dropping very soon.
