Karmaloop TV catches up with the creative duo Prodigy and Alchemist out in Atlanta for A3C 2013.  Live from what they repeatedly describe only as a horrid and shitty restroom, P and ALC give humorous some commentary during a short Q&A session and get into their chemistry in the studio, if they have any new music in the works for fans and explain why no other artist’s music can compare to their unique sound.

Noisey showcases Mobb Deep rapper Prodigy and producer Alchemist for their latest episode in their web series entitled Back & Forth.  The duo kick back in a bodega and have a candid conversation among themselves while the cameras run and capture the moment.  Prodigy speaks on the first time he met Alchemist and how he believed the producer was working for the feds when he started coming around.  However, after making a beat and showing off his skills, the Queens MC knew ALC was for real and began regularly collaborating.  P also touches on his love for New York City and explains why he’ll never move.  Alchemist also says a lot of his earlier influences came out of New York and before heading out the duo share their experiences early on with life on the road.

Prodigy and Alchemist finally deliver the anticipated visual treatment for “Give Em Hell” off that Albert Einstein LP.  This is a dope song and the video came out pretty clean which showcases P livin’ the boss lifestyle and takin’ out the competition.  P gets the word through one of his lady informants that a rival has put a hit out on him so the Mobb Deep emcee gives the green light to retaliate and put things in motion.  The Alchemist comes through and sets the scene appropriately with his trademark boom bap production style.

VIDEO: Toca Tuesdays Freestyle w/ Mac Miller, Prodigy, & Alchemist

Last week, Prodigy and Alchemist made a visit to Toca Tuesdays to have a sit down and discuss their new collaborative LP Albert Einstein with DJ Tony Touch.  Mac Miller who was in the building decided to crash the interview and subsequently ended up partaking in a spontaneous freestyle session with P and ALC.  Watch as all three artists do their thing on the mic and deliver a special cypher live on the air for Shade 45 listeners.

VIDEO: Prodigy – Dough Pildin’ (Prod. By Alchemist)

If you haven’t heard or picked up the collaborative album Albert Einstein from Mobb Deep’s Prodigy and producer Alchemist yet you’re sleepin’.  The duo’s last collaborative effort was 2007’s Return of The Mac.  Fast forward to 2013, the emcee and producer are still at it and delivering that classic gritty, gutter and sample based sound they’ve mastered with the latest single and video for “Dough Pildin” off the album.  Check out P push through the city while offering up friendly reminders of his accomplishments in the game and spittin’ raw verses about doing whatever needs to be done to keep his money pildin’.

AUDIO: Prodigy – R.I.P. ft. Havoc & Raekwon (Prod. By Alchemist)

P comes through with a new track titled “R.I.P.” featuring Havoc and Raekwon off his upcoming collaborative album Albert Einstein with Alchemist.  As always, ALC comes through and delivers that dope production that leaves you nodding your head and wanting more.  Both Havoc and Rae also deliver solid verses alongside P with no hook for your enjoyment.  Take a listen to the newest leak off the project in the video above.

P

Prodigy tweeted this earlier today.  His new book will be available July 16.  If you haven’t check out P’s last work of literature, My Infamous Life, I suggest you look into that.  It was pretty good and I liked the way Mr. Albert Johnson told his own personal story.  You may even be able to find the audio tape’s somewhere on the internet to listen to if you look hard enough.
