Evidence and Alchemist are back with a new dope single titled, “Mums In The Garage,” featuring Action Bronson. The track boasts some ill boom-bap style of production courtesy of ALC. Take a listen as the trio proceed to go on a lyrical tirade and show off their skills behind the mic. “Mums In The Garage” will be featured on the upcoming Step Brothers LP, Lord Steppington, which is due out on January 21.
Karmaloop TV catches up with the creative duo Prodigy and Alchemist out in Atlanta for A3C 2013. Live from what they repeatedly describe only as a horrid and shitty restroom, P and ALC give humorous some commentary during a short Q&A session and get into their chemistry in the studio, if they have any new music in the works for fans and explain why no other artist’s music can compare to their unique sound.
Long-time collaborators, friends and Step Brothers members Evidence and The Alchemist release a new instrumental titled “Nothing To See/Hear.” Though the new promotional track will not be featured on the duo’s upcoming Lord Steppington project, EV and ALC instead decide to release it for free to accompany Evidence’s latest clothing collaboration with Diamond Supply. Listen as the first half of the track features a instrumental laced with a mellow boom-bap vibe and a interesting choice for a vocal sample from an old 50 Cent interview during his past beef with Cam’ron. Towards the middle of the song, fans get to hear a few bars from Evidence but the track eventually jumps back into an ominous sounding instrumental laced with crow samples and eerie keys before reaching the song’s soulful outro.
In celebration of his new Starter snap-back collaboration with SSUR, The Alchemist drops a new 3-track EP, SSUR x ALC Maxi Single, to coincide with the limited edition release featuring various artists. Fans can look forward to hearing artists such as Freddie Gibbs, Action Bronson, Roc Marciano, Domo Genesis, Hodgy Beats, Blu and others on the new mini project. Take a look at the track list below and be sure to preview the new tracks via the audio streams.
Last week, Prodigy and Alchemist made a visit to Toca Tuesdays to have a sit down and discuss their new collaborative LP Albert Einstein with DJ Tony Touch. Mac Miller who was in the building decided to crash the interview and subsequently ended up partaking in a spontaneous freestyle session with P and ALC. Watch as all three artists do their thing on the mic and deliver a special cypher live on the air for Shade 45 listeners.
P comes through with a new track titled “R.I.P.” featuring Havoc and Raekwon off his upcoming collaborative album Albert Einstein with Alchemist. As always, ALC comes through and delivers that dope production that leaves you nodding your head and wanting more. Both Havoc and Rae also deliver solid verses alongside P with no hook for your enjoyment. Take a listen to the newest leak off the project in the video above.
