Ca$his is back with a new West Coast remix for his new single “Imma Hustla” featuring Mistah F.A.B., Roccett, Crooked I and Goldie Gold.  Produced by Rikanatti and Lil Lyss, the former Shady Records artist goes in over the track’s rough horns and whinny synth work with hood tales and speaks on making ends meet the hustla way.  Ca$his’ upcoming album The Country Hound 2 is set to drop on October 15.

Crooked I is the latest artist to be featured on SKEE Live’s “Off The Top” segment which takes a different act every week and showcases an original music video.  In episode three, the Long Beach native steps up to the microphone decked out in Raiders gear and proceeds to drop memorable bar after bar.  Check out how it all went down in the video below and be sure to tune into AXS TV every Tuesday at 7 p.m. (PST) and 10 p.m. (EST).

VIDEO: Crooked I Talks Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” Verse, Lyricism, 2Pac + More on C.O.B. Radio


C.O.B. Radio host Crooked I tackles Kendrick Lamar’s controversial “Control” verse.  After not making the cut onto Big Sean’s upcoming Hall Of Fame LP, the G.O.O.D. Music artist decided to leak the track which features Lamar and Jay Electronica.  After aiming his cross hairs at his peers and proclaiming himself the “King of New York,” the world of Hip Hop has been turned upside down and the Slaughterhouse MC decides to weigh in on the situation.

Crooked I points out that not one rapper who was named directly by Lamar has even responded and explains how the TDE rapper’s verse has ignited an appreciation for lyricism in Hip Hop once again.  As the first rapper to respond to Kendrick, Crooked talks fellow Slaughterhouse member Joell Ortiz’s lyrical comeback and dispels any rumors that the West Coast doesn’t boast some of the fine lyricists in the rap game.  The Long Beach native also says Tupac was the last true “King of the West” and announces he would like to see Slaughterhouse and TDE combine forces for a powerhouse collaboration.

Crooked I is back with part two of his break down for his new Apex Predator LP.  The Skee 24/7 Radio host discusses the concept behind “Lady Fell In Love” and describes the honest track as an audio collage constructed of experiences the Long Beach native has shared with a number of different women in his lifetime.  Next up, Crooked talks his hard-hitting intro track titled “Apex Predator (My Gun Go)” and its powerful message.  The Slaughterhouse MC explains how the track addresses the division of social classes in America and expresses his desire to bring listeners together to stand up and fight for worthy causes such as equality.  Crooked I also shares his interest on-the-air in bringing together independent music label Strange Music and C.O.B. group Horse Shoe Gang for a collaborative project.

Fresh off the release of his highly anticipated Apex Predator LP, Crooked I grabs the mic along with co-host Somayeh and breaks down a few stand out tracks off the project.  The Long Beach native gives insight behind the creative inspiration for “YODO” which serves a cautionary tale for the younger generation to always be aware of their surroundings.  Next, Crooked talks “No Sleep Gang” which is the new banger and anthem for every go-getter and dream chaser.

The Slaughterhouse MC also takes the time to give his thoughts on the lack of authentic and talented artists currently plaguing Hip Hop but reassures listeners he holds the cure with Apex Predator.  Before heading out, Crooked I gives details behind the unorthodox making of “Sumthin From Nuthin” which showcases the rapper creating a completely original song with nothing but a water bottle, some beat boxing skills, a pen, his finger and vocals.  Be sure to tune into C.O.B.
