Skee.TV breaks into the vault to bring you a new series entitled “Throwback Thursday.” This weeks episode features TDE artist Kendrick Lamar. In this short clip from 2010, DJ Skee catches up with an optimistic, young and driven Kendrick Lamar during a late night studio session for his acclaimed mixtape Overly Dedicated. Having always been a creative and lyrically driven artist, the Compton native shares his focus with Skee on recording new material and his passion for rhyming. Lamar makes it clear to Skee.TV cameras that it’s all about the music before any business and industry politics. NBA star Kevin Durant and rapper Privaledge also make cameos.

Bay Area native and legend E-40, drops off a new music video for “All My Niggas” featuring Danny Brown and TDE’s ScHoolboy Q.  The high energy packed track will more than likely show up somewhere on one of three of 40’s upcoming albums The Block Brochure Volumes 4, 5 and 6.  All three albums are set to simultaneously drop soon as E-40 puts the final touches down.  In the meantime, check out the visuals to the club anthem “All My Niggas.”

Looks like The Mad Rapper still has it.

Crooked I is back with part two of his break down for his new Apex Predator LP.  The Skee 24/7 Radio host discusses the concept behind “Lady Fell In Love” and describes the honest track as an audio collage constructed of experiences the Long Beach native has shared with a number of different women in his lifetime.  Next up, Crooked talks his hard-hitting intro track titled “Apex Predator (My Gun Go)” and its powerful message.  The Slaughterhouse MC explains how the track addresses the division of social classes in America and expresses his desire to bring listeners together to stand up and fight for worthy causes such as equality.  Crooked I also shares his interest on-the-air in bringing together independent music label Strange Music and C.O.B. group Horse Shoe Gang for a collaborative project.

YG is back again with another music video for “You Betta Kno” featuring CTE head honcho Young Jeezy.  The Compton native takes Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O.” instrumental out for a ride in the Phantom and brings Jeezy along as the two head to the studio.  “You Betta Kno” will be featured on the new CTE compilation mixtape titled Boss Yo Life Up Gang which is set to release later today.  After linking up with CTE and Young Jeezy, it’s evident that YG has been keeping himself busy and staying productive.

The world’s of France and the Bronx collide as DJ Cut Killer and New York MC The Kid Daytona drop a new collaborative music video for “Classic Shit.”  The black and white visual sports a number of ’90s French Hip Hop instrumentals that Cut Killer spins while Daytona drops impressive rhymes.  “Classic Shit” also serves a collaboration with French street wear clothing company Space Monkeys.  Be on the look out for The Kid Daytona’s Savoir Faire which is set to release this fall.
