VIDEO: Freddie Gibbs Says Young Jeezy & CTE Don’t Want It w/ Him

Rapper Freddie Gibbs recently stopped by the Skee Lodge to sit down with DJ Skee for an exclusive interview.  In the clip above, Gangsta Gibbs talks about his upcoming album ESGN, and very openly shares his dislike for his former business associate and CTE label mate Young Jeezy.  Though he states there’s no beef between the two artists, when asked by DJ Skee on his plans for addressing the matter moving forward, in typical Gangsta Gibbs fashion Freddie states that if anyone lyrically comes at him they’ll have “their heads tore off”.  Before heading out, the Gary, Indiana rapper reminds listeners that he’s really a nice guy but simply has “zero tolerance for bullshit”.

VIDEO: Kanye West In The Studio w/ Rick Ruben & Mike Dean Recording “I Am God”

Here is some weird looking and short footage of the self proclaimed “God” rapper Kanye West in the studio working on the controversially titled “I Am God” track off his upcoming Yeezus album.  It appears as the final stretch before the release date approaches we are seeing more and more from West in a possible effort to do some sort of promotion at least online for the project.  The edit shows West in the studio with everything blacked out around him except Rick Ruben and Mike Dean who are seated right next to Ye as he records in the middle of the room.  I wonder what it is they don’t want us or didn’t think was important to see in the studio?  Yeezus drops on June 18.

ARTWORK: E-40 – The Block Brochure: Welcome To The Soil 4, 5 & 6

e40Never one to be boxed in, Bay area rapper E-40 has continued to find ways to reinvent himself and remain relevant in a fast paced industry that continues to evolve.  Within only three years, the OG rapper has changed the game and stayed true to his strategy of flooding the market with tons of music by way of releasing seven albums and multiple on the same day.  What takes some rappers a year plus to create one album, 40- watter doubles or even triples his work ethic in an effort to provide his fans with more.  Under his Revenue Retrievin’ series, three albums hit stores and online retailers while his Block Brochure: Welcome to The Soil series pulled a one up and dropped with four.  Also, let’s not forget that E-40 recently collaborated just last year with fellow Bay rapper Too $hort and dropped two more albums under his History series with Mob Music and Function Music.

With that being said, Charlie Hustle continues to stay on his grind and today decided to release the official artwork for three more albums that will coincide with his Block Brochure series.  Parts four, five, and six will bring Forty Fonzarelli’s solo album total to a whopping 20 releases and demonstrates the independent and creative freedom the rapper is working with.

There’s only one thing to do when you hear a smooth ass cut like this and that’s to grab a pack of raws, break down the OG and roll an appropriate sized joint for the vibes that are sure to commence.  MMG rapper Rockie Fresh delivers his latest ode to weed and his favorite girl with “Kush Do” and brings Wiz Khalifa along for a fitting feature.  The blazing track (pun intended) finds both artists in a familiar and comfortable zone and highlights their talent for serenading the ladies over weed infused melodies.  Play on players.
