In an interesting move, Jay-Z and staff created a viral scavenger hunt by taking to social media and revealing clues to where fans could find the official track list to his upcoming album Magna Carta Holy Grail releasing July 4. Though production credits have yet to be revealed, the titles of the songs were placed in special binders throughout Brooklyn as fans were encouraged to participate and hit the streets in search of them. It looks like Jigga man and Drizzy recently linked up and combined powers for a studio session while Drake was in Manhattan shooting his cameo in the upcoming film Anchorman 2. Lenny S. shared this photo but didn’t specify what project exactly fans can hope to hear the tunes they did on.

Now I don’t know about you but this takes me back to when I first started recording music with the homies and when I was in high school. I can remember how the influence of New York music at that time started showing in the styles on campus and just how popular Dipset was. It was just a big time around those days for Roc-a-Fella in general. Producer 9th Wonder recently sat down with Life and Times to discuss his part in Jay-Z’s Black Album. 9th gives interesting insight into how he took R.
