Pro Era MC CJ Fly unveils the official artwork to his upcoming Thee Way Eye See It LP. Take a look as the New York native is pictured at the movie theaters with a bag of popcorn as beams of light appear to be protruding from the rapper’s eyes and onto the screen. On the latest episode of Karmaloop’s That Life web series, Carissa Rossi catches up with the young New York wordsmith to get his thoughts on a number of questions. Joey Bada$$ shares what it’s like being his biggest tour yet and describes how the experience is an inspiration for him. After including a Reggae inspired track on his Summer Knights project, Bada$$ confirms he definitely has an interest in experimenting more with the genre and may release a potential EP. Finally, Joey talks about being his preference for being hands-on.

Joey Bada$$ took to his twitter today to deliver to the world a new song from deceased Pro Era member and friend Capital STEEZ. The Entreproducers produced track, “King Steelo”, was released in celebration of STEEZ’s life as today would have been his 20th birthday. Fans can look forward to “King Steelo” being featured on King Capital which is the last project STEEZ was recording before he sadly decided to take his own life last December only days after the release of his Pro Era crew’s PEEP: The aPROcalypse mixtape. CJ Fly of Pro Era celebrates his birthday by liberating a new track called “Tug-At-War” for the fans. Produced by Esta, the New York emcee kicks a smooth flow over a laid back sample based instrumental and demands his respect. Look out for CJ’s upcoming The Way I See It project dropping soon. Brooklyn emcee Joey Bada$$ recently performed out in Toronto for NXNE at the Yonge and Dundas Square and treated the crowd to a new track produced by the masked avenger MF Doom. Backed by DJ and producer Statik Selektah, Joey debuted the song which also features Pro Era member Kirk Knight. The new banger will be featured on Joey’s upcoming Summer Knights EP dropping very soon.
Duck Down recently caught up with Joey Bada$$ at Summer Jam XX to spit an unheard new verse off “Swank” which will be featured on his upcoming Summer Knights EP. The new web series “Verse Unheard”, is intended to showcase different artists “spitting their favorite verse” off projects which have yet to see the light of day. Joey Bada$$ gets the honors of kicking things off in the first episode as the young lyrical wordsmith goes to work for the camera. Look out for Joey’s Summer Knights EP dropping June 12.
