Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y get epically high and enjoy a spread of grapes in the softly lit new video for “Toast,” directed by Tha Razor. Poking out of a backwards snapback, Wiz’ short and squiggly dreads look something like little weed nugs. “Toast” is taken from the duo’s joint project, Live In Concert. Released on 4/20 as a for-pay EP because of copyright issues, it’s not actually a live album—just Wiz and Curren$y rapping over un-tampered-with samples, mostly from flautist Bobbi Humphrey’s 1975 LPFancy Dancer. Hear the track used for “Toast,” Humphrey’s “Mestizo Eyes”
In this clip we get to take a look at some vintage Wiz from 2009 when him and Spitta where putting together How Fly. Probably the most interesting part though is when Young Khalifa receives notice from the label that he has to adjust some things and take out a specific word or two.
These #LiveInConcert previews were shot over the course of a weekend in the beginning of April 2013 where @WizKhalifa and @CurrenSy_Spitta put the finishing touches onto the album & head out to the club mid-session for a belated birthday celebration.
It looks like that time is almost upon us for Live In Concert to finally drop. The collaborative project between Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y is the first project the duo have dropped together since How Fly back in 2009. The album will be available on iTunes at midnight. Take a look at the visuals above to get a behind the scenes look at the making of the project.
