In episode three, the Long Beach native steps up to the microphone decked out in Raiders gear and proceeds to drop memorable bar after bar. VIDEO: Crooked I Breaks Down “A Lady Fell In Love” & “Apex Predator” On C.O.B. Radio
Crooked I is back with part two of his break down for his new Apex Predator LP. The Skee 24/7 Radio host discusses the concept behind “Lady Fell In Love” and describes the honest track as an audio collage constructed of experiences the Long Beach native has shared with a number of different women in his lifetime. Next up, Crooked talks his hard-hitting intro track titled “Apex Predator (My Gun Go)” and its powerful message. The Slaughterhouse MC explains how the track addresses the division of social classes in America and expresses his desire to bring listeners together to stand up and fight for worthy causes such as equality. Crooked I also shares his interest on-the-air in bringing together independent music label Strange Music and C.O.B. group Horse Shoe Gang for a collaborative project.

Long Beach, California indie hip hop artist LuRocK delivers a new song and music video for “If Only”. The Stax produced track will be featured on his upcoming album Top of The Town which is currently in the works. Take a ride with the Speakin’ Real emcee through the streets on the north side of the LBC. Over a smooth sample based instrumental, LuRocK laces the track with hard-hitting lyrics and puts it down for the top of the town.

ARTWORK: Crooked I – Apex Predator
Long Beach, California emcee Crooked I finally releases the official artwork and release date to his highly anticipated LP Apex Predator. The Slaughterhouse member and Treacherous Records artist took to instagram and twitter today to reveal his latest project will be available to the masses on July 30. Crooked I has also been busy as the host of his C.O.B. Radio show which broadcasts live from DJ Skee’s Skee Lodge from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Wednesday.

Artist and producer DāM-FunK liberates the original 1993 version of Snoop Dogg’s classic “Ain’t No Fun (If The Homies Can’t Have None)” record featuring Nate Dogg, Warren G, and Kurupt. Via his official soundcloud page, DāM-FunK delivers the ripped audio from a cassette tape he purchased from the L.A. Slauson Swapmeet back in 1993. He also points out that this was the original version of the song distributed to the public before Dr. Dre was even in the picture. Take a listen below to hear Long Beach’s 213 along with Kurupt put it down with that real vintage and classic ’90’s west coast sound. Throw ya dubs up on this one.

Slaughterhouse rapper Crooked I opens up about his time at Death Row, and shared a story of Federal Agents busting into his house while the label was being investigated. Despite the shocking incident, Crooked I revealed that he had a great relationship with Suge Knight, and learned a lot from being around the powerhouse label exec.
