Cassidy jacks the instrumental to Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” and decides to try his hand at an standout response.  The Philly native has always been synonymous with lyrical wordplay so you better believe Cas is dropping a few gems here and there.  As the “Control” responses continue to flood in well try and keep you up-to-date with the one’s actually worth your time.  Let’s just say the flood gates have been opened and every artist I’m sure is looking to capitalize on an extra 15 minutes.

Big Sean sent the internet into a frenzy after debuting a new track titled “Control” featuring Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica.  Though every MC delivered their respective verse, Lamar definitely stole the show after crowning himself the king of New York and aiming his sights on several big name artists such as J. Cole, Drake, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky and more.  At one point in the song the Compton native raps, “I’m usually homeboys with the same n*ggas I’m rhyming with/But this is Hip Hop and them n*ggas should know what time it is.”  Though Lamar’s lyrics only appear to be competitively driven, don’t be surprised if one of the rappers referenced in the lyrical assault capitalizes on the opportunity to go bar for bar with the Hip Hop star.

Twitter has been blowing up since Funkmaster Flex premiered the new track.  Big Sean also provided some insight behind the song when he clarified that due to sample clearing issues, “Control” was unable to make the final track list on Hall Of Fame and subsequently was leaked for our listening pleasure.  As if the G.O.O.D. Music rapper’s latest offering couldn’t get any better, Jay Electronica decides to show-up and deliver a memorable verse.  Take a listen to what all the fuss is about below.

After building up plenty of anticipation since its release, ScHoolboy Q’s “Collard Greens” featuring Kendrick Lamar finally gets the visual treatment.  Jam packed with a stable of bad ones in almost every scene, the TDE artist brings the energy and colorful visuals to accompany his hit new single which has been embraced by fans since its debut.  Q premiered the music video earlier today in New York with Sway Calloway for the latest episode of his show RapFix Live.  “Collard Greens” will be featured on ScHoolboy’s upcoming sophomore album Oxymoron.

VIDEO: ScHoolboy Q Talks Oxymoron, 50 Cent, Tour Life + More w/ FUSE

Fuse recently caught up with ScHoolboy Q out on the road and discussed a number of topics.  Q confirms that Oxymoron is completed and in the last stage of mastering, says fans might be see a verse from 50 Cent on the album, shares a story where he did a prank during one of Kendrick’s live sets, and explains how Good Kid M.a.a.d. City influenced his music to reach new levels.  Another interesting bit of information Q shares is that his focus is on his music and business along with most of the TDE crew and typically they all stray from partying most of the time.

VIDEO: Kendrick Lamar K104 On-Air Freestyle w/ A Bay Bay

Kendrick Lamar recently paid a visit to K104 in Dallas, Texas and sat down with radio DJ A Bay Bay and kicked a special freestyle in celebration of his 26th birthday.  Watch as K. Dot is given key words to incorporate into his rhymes and does his thing live on-the-spot for the listeners.

ScHoolboy Q was also in attendance and seated right next to Kendick as he appeared to be nodding off during the duration of the interview.  Not sure if there should be some level of concern for Q in regards to his drug intake or perhaps the TDE artist was simple tired as they are all currently on the road for the Good Kid m.A.A.d City Tour.

VIDEO: Mac Miller Says ScHoolboy Q Could Be Bigger Than Kendrick + More w/ DJ Skee

Rapper and recently turned reality star Mac Miller catches up with DJ Skee to share his excitement on some of the unreleased music he’s heard that will be featured on ScHoolboy Q’s upcoming Oxymoron album. Miller also believes that Q’s commercial appeal could potentially reach greater heights than TDE front man Kendrick Lamar and deliver platinum singles. DJ Skee also chimes in and jokingly agrees that Q is somewhat of a hybrid artist who embodies styles from both Waka Flocka and K Dot. Mac also reassures fans that Ab-Soul and Jay Rock’s new music is just as incredible and that each artist’s respective project is something special to look forward to.

As the interview continues, Miller shares his opinion on Lil Wayne and Rick Ross losing their lucrative endorsements with big brands like Mountain Dew and Reebok. With Mac being previously endorsed by Mountain Dew himself, DJ Skee proposes the question of what type of creative approach an artist needs to consider in order to successfully balance out these types of business relationships. Miller stresses the need for artists to first decide on how far they are willing to compromise their creative freedom and to meet companies halfway in order to maintain their integrity as musicians.
