Now this was a dope interview and a refreshing detour from the questions everyone else is asking Kanye right now.  The Chicago emcee sat down with Peter Rosenberg and Cipha sounds for the latest episode of Juan Epstein.  Yeezy credits NO ID as being his biggest inspiration as a producer, touches on his early influences like Premo and Pete Rock, College Dropout and more.  West also revealed that in the studio he really has no preference between an MPC or ASR, the moment he realized his step brother was a crackhead, looks back on working with J Dilla and explains that Michael Jackson was responsible for motivating him to put together 808s and Heartbreak.  Before calling it a wrap, Kanye took the opportunity to call out the former heads of Rawkus Records for passing up on signing him because they felt he didn’t have a certain look.

Sway Calloway hosted Kanye West this morning on his Shade 45 radio show and needless to say things got a little crazy.  As Kanye opened up about his aspirations to break in the fashion industry on a large scale, Calloway proposed the question as to why the rapper doesn’t start small and fund his own dream.  As a result, Yeezus lost it and got real aggressive in his tone as he repeatedly claimed that Calloway didn’t have the answers to his problems and didn’t know what he was talking about.  Take a listen to the shouting match as Sway attempted to calm the atmosphere in the room and encourage Ye to chill out on several occasions.
