Vlad TV gets an exclusive one-on-one interview with legendary emcee Ghostface Killah of the Wu-Tang Clan. The New York bred artist discusses new music that’s currently in the works, his interest in getting involved in the world of film and admits that a lot of artists today in Hip Hop are only passing through and wont share the same longevity in their careers as the Wu. With rapper Drake recently dedicating the title of one of his song’s on his newNothing Was The Same LP to the clan, Ghost clarifies that he doesn’t feel Drake has done anything to solidify their position in Hip Hop but only helped to cross their music over to plenty of younger fans who follow the YMCMB rapper.
Fuse continues unveiling their coverage of Rock The Bells 2013 and this time Esteban catches up with Inspectah Deck. The two discuss Wu-Tang Clan’s 20th Anniversary of their classic LP Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers. Deck also reflects on the groups humble beginnings at RZA’s mom’s house, confirms theirs a new Wu-Tang album currently in the works and co-signs Drake titling his latest single “Wu-Tang Forever.”
Drake leaks his latest single titled “Wu-Tang Forever” off his anticipated Nothing Was The Same LP which is set to drop on September 24. The YMCMB artist’s new album is now officially available for pre-order and with every purchase includes a free download of “Wu-Tang Forever.” Not exactly an ode to the clan, Drake instead decides to spit some bars about the hustles of the game over a mellow beat laced with catchy keys. Take a listen below.
Stumbling upon the original sample from Wu-Tang Clan’s intro on Disc two of Wu-Tang Forever, De La Soul comes through and drops their new song “Get Away”. Out of respect for the Wu the trip also included “the spirit of the wu” as a feature. The groups last project The Grind Date was released back in 2004. You’re Welcome is anticipated to release this upcoming fall. I’m definintely feeling this record and can’t wait to see what else they come out with as the release date approaches closer and closer. Expect visuals for “Get Away” soon as well.
