MMG artist Stalley gears up to release his highly anticipated Honest Cowboy mixtape which is set to release on August 8. The Ohio native decided to unveil the official artwork and tracklisting for the 10-track project yesterday. Scarface, ScHoolboy Q and Crystal Torres are also set to join Stalley on the mixtape as features while the MMG rapper boasts production credits from Cardo, DJ Quik, Block Beataz and Terrace Martin.
Stalley drops a new impressive track inspired by MC Eiht’s A-Wax character from the film Menace II society titled “A-Wax”. The song will be featured on on Stalley’s upcoming mixtape Honest Cowboy which is due to drop on August 8. Produced by Block Beattaz, Stalley’s latest effort finds the underrated MMG artist going lyrically going to work and giving fans a taste of what they can expect to hear on Honest Cowboy. MMG artist Stalley’s music video for “Swangin'” has been in the works for a minute and we’ve seen several behind the scenes looks but today the completed version finally gets liberated. Stalley takes his ode to swangers home to Massillon, Ohio and down south to Houston, Texas and connects with the OG Scarface and Face Mob to deliver a dope visual. Packed with old school slabs and customized whips, Stalley offers up a memorable video packed with cameos from artists like Paul Wall, Rockie Fresh, Rick Ross, Killa Kyleon and Omarion. “Swangin'” serves as the official single to the rapper’s forthcoming album and be on the look out for MMG’s compliation album Self Made 3 dropping next month.
Maybach Music’s Stalley takes a trip down to Houston’s Third Ward with rapper Scarface to shoot additional scenes for “Swangin”. Go behind the lens in part two for the official music video and get firsthand accounts from both artists on just how serious things were during the swang rims era.
