Maryland’s Logic joined DJ Skee for an exclusive interview and performance on episode 14 of AXS TV’s SKEE Live. Kicking the show off with a live rendition of “5AM” and “Young Jedi,” Logic captivated fans with his undeniable stage presence and showmanship.

Backed by his loyal RattPack fans who were very much in attendance, the humble artist sat down with Skee to discuss his early introduction to hip hop, influences and the story behind his nicknames for his devoted fans. The rising star also got into details behind his motivation to be the best in the game and shared a story about the first time he met Nas and the way he felt afterwards when he learned the legendary emcee was a fan. As the conversation continued between the two, Logic opened up about who he’d like to work with and reassured viewers that his forthcoming album will be released in 2014. Before heading out, fans got the opportunity to ask the young rapper a number of random questions via Twitter before Logic hit the stage to close out the show with “Ballin.”

This week’s “Spotlight” segment showcased the sexy songstress known as Nayer. The Cuban beauty addressed her family roots, her humble beginnings in music and what it was like to collaborate with Ne-Yo and Pitbull for “Give Me Everything.” Nayer made it clear to viewers that she is working hard in order to step up as strong voice for women everywhere.

DJ Skee did the honors of unveiling two new music videos from DJ Whoo Kid with “More Champagne” and “Shinin’ Like I’m Las Vegas.” Both songs are set to be featured on the G-Unit member’s upcoming N-Word Bond project. “More Champagne” showcases the talents of Wiz Khalifa, Problem and A$AP Ferg while California’s Nipsey Hussle holds it down on “Shinin’ Like I’m Las Vegas.”

Viewers were also treated to a second interview with MMG’s Omarion. Looking like a seasoned vet in front of the camera, Omarion spoken on his new Care Package 2 mixtape, the evolution of his career, touring the world and gave viewers insight into how he was able to ink a deal with Rick Ross. The former B2K member also touched on the current state of R&B and explained that he only wants to make music that listeners can identify and connect with.

Boxer Danny Garcia was highlighted in this week’s “Up Close.” Garcia got into details on his Philly roots, his relationship with his father and what it took for him to avoid trouble out on the block in order to pursue his dream. Danny also shared his excitement to earn a sponsorship with Jordan and admitted that he still feels like he’s an underdog in the sport but continues to move forward.

With the recent release of Apple’s iPad Air, DJ Skee manages to get his hands on one and sits down for an exclusive review of the new lightweight and advanced tablet.

SKEE LIVE episode 14 was extra amped this week as Bad Boy artist Machine Gun Kelly stopped by the AXS TV studio for an exclusive interview with DJ Skee and to hit the stage at L.A. Live’s Conga Room.  The Cleveland native got fans excited with his undeniable stage presence as he kicked off the show with an emotional performance of “Breaking News” and “Diamonds and Gold.”  After heading back up to the studio to sit down with Skee and with bourbon whiskey in his hand, MGK decided to bare his soul with viewers as he got into details behind his roots in Ohio, being raised by an abusive father and much more.  The eccentric rapper stressed to DJ Skee that he considers himself a down to earth person and regular just like anyone else.

MGK also reflected on his early days in Cleveland out on the block and having to freestyle and pave his own lane in order to earn respect in his neighborhood.  Basketball was also the topic of discussion as MGK spoke with DJ Skee about his relationship with the Cleveland Cavaliers and indirectly hinted that perhaps Lebron James could eventually return to the team down the road.  As the conversation continued, Kelly made it a point to stress his appreciation for all of his diehard fans and gave them all the credit for his success.  The rapper went on to even proclaim that he would take five diehard fans over 5,000 from Coachella any day because of their devotion to the music and cause.  Before hitting the stage to close out the episode with “Swing Life Away,” MGK shared his disgust for the media, a few details behind a potential part in the next Jackass film and made it very clear that he’s not like most rappers today who have interests in strictly material items

This week’s “spotlight” segment showcased Matisyahu.  The Los Angeles based artist touched on how Bob Marley’s “No Woman No Cry” inspired his early Reggae sound along with his passion to break down barriers in music.  “Up Close” featured LRG’s Robert Wright who gave viewers insight behind how the infamous clothing brand came together and so much more.  Opening up to cameras for the first time about deceased friend and former business partner Jonas Bevacqua, Wright addressed how the two were able to build the company’s brand and what needed to be done in order to transition it after the devastating loss.

“Off The Top” showcased the talents of Chris Webby who proclaimed himself the Jesse Pinkman of rap after delivering a Breaking Bad themed music video for his new original song.  Before calling it a wrap on episode 14 and sending things back over to MGK on stage, Skee took the opportunity to address the current evolution of Hip Hop and the blurring of racial lines.  The AXS TV host pointed out that the evening’s lineup unintentionally consisted of strictly Caucasian talent and gave a breakdown of just how far artists have come today in the world of Hip Hop.

SKEE LIVE episode 13 kicked off with rapper Skeme performing “All That” and singer TeeFLii with “This D.” Needless to say, fans in attendance were excited to see the West Coast bred artists as they took the stage and turned the energy up at L.A. Live’s Conga Room.

Soon after, G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean made his way into the AXS TV studio to grab a seat on DJ Skee’s couch and discuss what he’s been up to, his thoughts on life, the city of Detroit and so much more. Sean opened up about his early days in music with artist Mike Posner and addressed how difficult it is for an artist to make it out of the D. Speaking candidly, Big Sean also shared his personal philosophy on remaining positive in order to manifest your dreams into reality.

As the conversation continued between the long-time friends, Sean made it clear that he was open to collaborate with artists from all genres and gave viewers insight into his hometown’s downward spiral. Still, Big Sean shared that he is currently giving back to the city in its time of need wherever he can. The rapper also spoke on his partnership with shoe brand Adidas and revealed he has an all new design coming soon which will serve as his third model. Before saying his goodbyes, Big Sean weighed in on Nipsey Hussle’s groundbreaking $100 price tag for his recent Crenshaw mixtape and participated in a round of on-the-spot Twitter questions from fans.

Episode 12 of SKEE LIVE showcased the talents of singer Jason Derulo as he joined long-time friend and AXS TV host DJ Skee for an exclusive interview. Bringing his special brand of energy to the stage, Derulo opened the show with his smash hits “Marry Me” and “Talk Dirty.” With so much to discuss, the singer shared details on everything from his early days in Miami, getting his big break by working with Cassie and Sean Kingston, his creative process in the studio and explains Hip Hop is in his roots. Derulo also revealed to DJ Skee that early in his career he almost signed with Cash Money, Konvict and Bad Boy Records.

The multi-talented artist made it a point to clarify to viewers that his music not only is universal but authentic and will always remain a reflection of who he truly is. During his lengthy one-on-one with DJ Skee, Derulo would go on to address plenty of other topics such as his fashion inspirations, touring with Black Eyed Peas and Lady Gaga, his relationship with singer Jordin Sparks, overcoming a potential career ending neck injury and so much more. Derulo also did the honors of closing out SKEE LIVE with a performance of “The Other Side.”

Fans were treated to an exclusive interview with Rick Ross as the MMG general discussed his upcoming Mastermind LP, his thoughts on collaborating with other artists and revealed he was behind enticing Kanye West to sign Pusha T to G.O.O.D. Music. This week’s episode featured veteran producer Om’mas Keith as the Queens native shared some of his production credits and gave viewers insight on how he was able to get his start in music.

“Off The Top” showcased the skills of rap artist Smart Guy Chevelle in his Dylan Bergstrom directed visual. Fashion designer and entrepreneur, Marc Ecko, caught up with SKEE LIVE cameras for a special interview and brought viewers up-to-speed with everything he’s recently had his hands in and more. Ecko speaks on his time in college, getting his start with air brushing shirts and his inspiration behind creating Complex Magazine.

Alternative band Atlas Genius grabbed the spotlight for this week’s “Spotlight” segment. Episode 12 of SKEE LIVE also featured commentary from DJ Skee as he showcased several pairs of rare sneakers and took it upon himself to initiate a dialogue concerning the need to design so many shoes with a specific theme in mind. SKEE Live episode eight kicked off with a special performance of “Love More” and “Fine China” from singer Chris Brown. Filled to capacity, fans of Brown lined-up and filled L.A. Live’s plaza for the chance to see Brown hit the stage at The Conga Room.

Joining DJ Skee for a live and intimate interview, Brown took the opportunity to open up to viewers on being inspired by his fans and fellow artists like Neyo, explain why he believes there’s a lack of talent in the R&B genre and shares how he manages to recover during mistakes on stage. Chris also gave insight behind his passion to remembered as a hard worker who pulled himself up by his bootstraps.

Art was also a topic of discussion as Brown got into details on his love for being creative and broke down the meaning of what his signature monster graffiti murals symbolize. The young singer also shared with DJ Skee the inspiration behind the title of his upcoming LP, features that fans can expect to hear from, his upcoming documentary with John Singleton and much more before hitting the stage again to close out the show with “Don’t Think They Know.”

This week’s “Spotlight” featured YouTube sensation Niykee Heston. The Chicago native detailed how she was able to utilize the internet to showcase her skills by covering popular songs from artists from different genres with her acoustic guitar. For “In The Lab,” producer Aarabmuzik shared his experiences with collaborating with some of Hip Hop’s biggest names, how he got into making beats and touches on his love for music which began at young age.

Cameras also went behind-the-scenes on the set of Maejor Ali’s new Matt Alonzo directed music video for “Lolly” featuring Juicy J and Justin Bieber. “Off The Top” showcased the skills of rising Rap talent, Wax, who took his act to Runyon Canyon and delivered an original song and visual.

Legendary photographer and director Estevan Oriol served as the focus for this week’s “Up Close” segment. The Los Angeles native highlighted some of his accomplishments from his career and gave insight on how he was able to grow beyond just being Cypress Hill’s photographer and springboard his career to new heights. Oriol also stressed his early desire to broaden his horizons and cover more than just California’s low rider and gangster culture.

Viewers were also treated to an intimate look at the work space and office of Darren Romanelli. The vintage clothing guru sat down for a one-on-one interview and detailed his expertise with clothing, limited footwear and gave insight behind his creative inspirations.

Before calling it a wrap on another successful episode, DJ Skee delivered his weekly editorial which urged audience members to refrain from feeding into false and over-the-top stories regularly promoted by the media. The host also touched on the problems created by paparazzi and pointed out the sad truth that entertainers nowadays are only being pushed away from doing what they love.

SKEE Live episode seven went down as one of the best episodes yet. Viewers were treated to a performance and interview from G.O.O.D. Music’s Pusha T and Juicy J from Taylor Gang. Both artists turned the energy up by performing their hit singles with Pusha kicking things off with “Blocka” and Juicy following things up with “Bounce It.”

Super producer, Che Pope, took over this week’s “In The Lab” segment. Having executively produced for the likes of Kanye West, 50 cent and JAY Z, Pope shares his story and stresses he wants to leave his mark in history with music that’s everlasting.

Back in the studio with DJ Skee, Pusha T opened up on his upcoming My Name Is My Name LP, meeting Kanye West and signing with G.O.O.D. Music, his brother Malice, his relationship with Pharrell and confidently proclaimed he has the album of the year. Later in the show, Juicy J joined Pusha T on DJ Skee’s couch and touched on his relationship with Miley Cyrus, producer Dr. Luke, obtaining an unreleased Pimp C verse for his Stay Trippy LP and having production credits on a new Pimp C album set to release soon. Both artists took the opportunity to tackle topics with DJ Skee on fashion, collaborating with singer Justin Timberlake and much more.

“Spotlight” showcased reality TV star and new YMCMB signee Chanel West Coast. Chanel speaks on how she felt after meeting Lil Wayne and explains there’s a misconception of her image in the public due to her role on MTV’s Fantasy Factory.

NFL star Adrian Peterson spoke on his humble beginnings, taking his football skills to the pros and the work ethic it took to overcome a potential career ending injury. The Minnesota Vikings running back also gets personal with cameras and shares what it took for him and his family to overcome the loss of his brother at an early age.

Viewers were also treated to an exclusive song and music video from rising rap star Logic. The young and rising talent stepped up to demonstrate his lyrical skills for viewers on this week’s “Off The Top” segment.

Though DJ Skee was unable to deliver his weekly episode closing editorial, the host instead sent things back over to Pusha T who did the honors of ending the show with a performance of his hit single “Numbers On The Boards.” Be sure to tune into SKEE Live every Tuesday from 7 p.m. (PST) and 10 p.m. (EST) only on AXS TV.
