New York rapper Fabolous finally decided to respond to Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse live at Powerhouse 2013 in New York.  During Fab’s performance which was held at the Barclays center, the “Breathe” emcee took a moment out of his set to let crowd-goers know that he was in fact the “King of New York.”  Take a look as Loso downplays Kendrick’s comments and proclaims that all the real kings come from Brooklyn.

It went down in New York last night at the Barclays Center for Powerhouse 2013 as Kendrick Lamar took the stage as the event’s closer.  The self proclaimed “King of New York,” decided to show some Brooklyn inspired love and brought out Lil Kim for a special performance of “Get Money” and “It’s All About The Benjamins.”  Check out Kim hit the stage and put it down live in front of her hometown.

You can’t deny the skills on Eminem’s latest offering with “Don’t Front” featuring rapper Buckshot.  Slim Shady goes to work and makes sure listeners and the competition know they can’t front on his skill.  The track’s boom-bap style of production comes courtesy of Black Moon’s classic song “I Got Cha Opin.”  Take a listen as Eminem treats fans to what feels like some vintage Rawkus material with his crafty lyricism.  “Don’t Front” will apparently be available to consumers who purchase Call Of Duty: Ghosts exclusively from Gamestop.

Eminem is in full promo mode as the release date for the legendary emcee’s forthcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, approaches next week on November 5.  Take a listen as DJ Whoo Kid had the opportunity to interview Marshall Mathers over the phone on Shade 45 satellite radio.  Em gets into his experience with working with Rick Rubin and explains why he’s a major fan of the legendary producer.  Slim Shady also touches on the album’s rock infused instrumentals which he clarifies was a conscious decision in order to evoke the sound reminiscent of early Beastie Boys and Run-DMC.  Before calling it a wrap, the rapper addressed his recent collaboration “The Monster” featuring Rihanna, recording “Love Game” in Detroit with Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre.
