bigsean

Big Sean sent the internet into a frenzy after debuting a new track titled “Control” featuring Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica.  Though every MC delivered their respective verse, Lamar definitely stole the show after crowning himself the king of New York and aiming his sights on several big name artists such as J. Cole, Drake, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky and more.  At one point in the song the Compton native raps, “I’m usually homeboys with the same n*ggas I’m rhyming with/But this is Hip Hop and them n*ggas should know what time it is.”  Though Lamar’s lyrics only appear to be competitively driven, don’t be surprised if one of the rappers referenced in the lyrical assault capitalizes on the opportunity to go bar for bar with the Hip Hop star.

Twitter has been blowing up since Funkmaster Flex premiered the new track.  Big Sean also provided some insight behind the song when he clarified that due to sample clearing issues, “Control” was unable to make the final track list on Hall Of Fame and subsequently was leaked for our listening pleasure.  As if the G.O.O.D. Music rapper’s latest offering couldn’t get any better, Jay Electronica decides to show-up and deliver a memorable verse.  Take a listen to what all the fuss is about below.
