New York DJ Mister Cee had a heartfelt conversation this morning with Ebro on HOT 97. Cee was given the platform to voice his opinion on his situation and had the courage to go on-air and admit to listeners that he’s had homosexual encounters with drag queens. Though not easily coming clean at first, Cee eventually opened up about his problems as fellow HOT 97 co-worker Ebro helped him through it. There were a few moments where Cee broke down and began crying on the air, however, at one point even Funk Master Flex who at one point made his way into the room showered Cee with support and reassured him that everything would be fine. As the conversation continued, Ebro made it a point to continuously encourage Mister Cee to reconsider his decision to resign and eventually convinced him to make his return today.
Below is Mister Cee’s comeback “Back On The Block Mix.”

Mister Cee from Hot 97 decided today was the appropriate time to resign from his position at the New York radio station after video evidence of him soliciting sex from a drag queen landed onto youtube courtesy ofBimbo Winehouse. However, it’s important to point out that only audio was recorded and Mister Cee is never actually seen. Cee has not officially confirmed that is in fact his voice just before the six minute mark. Still, the internet is running wild with this breaking news and there seems to be a general consensus that it is indeed the 20 year radio veterean. Also, towards the end of the audio portion, the drag queen can clearly be heard addressing the other voice in the video as DJ Mister Cee. Shortly after the video hit the internet on the blogger’s website, Cee took to the airwaves to say goodbye. Below is what he had to say on the matter:
“Today is my last day on Hot 97. Mister Cee, I’m resigning today. It is not a mystery that the past two years I’ve been through a lot and I’ve tried to deal with it the best way that I could deal with it and Hot 97 has tried to deal with it the best way they’ve had to deal with it. But when you’re dealing with corporate America and you’re dealing with a station you love as much as this station, I don’t want to put this station through more than what they’ve been through I’ve been thinking of this for a long long time.
I’ve been thinking about this day for a long time, I never want to be in a situation where I get pushed out anywhere. I’ve been at this station for 20 years since 1993 and if I’m gonna go out let me go out with me saying I’m gonna go out. Allow me to have that and so the station is allowing me to have that today and I appreciate that.”
In 2011, Mister Cee plead guilty to loitering for the purpose of engaging in a prostitution offense with a 20-year-old male.
UPDATE 9/11/2013 10:53am – A formal statement from Alexandra Cameron, SVP/General Manager of HOT 97, has been issued:
“Due to some personal circumstances that have become public, after 20 years of service, Mr Cee has chosen to resign. We feel that this is in the best interest of both HOT 97 and Cee’s personal well-being. While we do not endorse the alleged activities, he is clearly facing a personal dilemma that is for him and only him to comment on. We are saddened by his departure; his contributions here at HOT 97 were great and we know him as a friend, a caring individual and significant hip hop advocate. We wish Mr Cee the best and will always consider him a family member of HOT 97.
Moments ago, he officially signed off, on the air and will finish out his last show today on September 11, 2013, an already sad day for New York City.”
