Jonny Shipes took to his twitter today to release the latest Smoker’s Club compilation mixtape, Oil: 710, which features a variety of artists such as CJ Fly, Chevy Woods, Joey Bada$$, Smoke DZA and more. I worked on this cd for the past 6 months…. Thats a lie but it sounded cool so fuck it lol, this compilation is a combo of some of my favorite artists I fuck w & having a bunch of dope music from them that i thought needed to be shared with the world on this wonderful holiday…. If your out the loop 7:10 is a new smokers holiday, find u some OIL & get to burnin. A native of Oakland, Calif. and member of the group The Team, Bay Area rapper Clyde Carson gives insight into his humble beginnings in Hip Hop and what he’s working hard to accomplish. Fresh off the recent success of his hit single “Slow Down” featuring The Team, Carson explains how he began making music around 2001-2002 and eventually found his way to New York where he learned a lot about the business. Inspired by the movement and sound of the Bay Area, Clyde eventually found his way back home to Oakland and stresses that it’s important to keep the sound of his home turf relevant within his music. The former Blackwall Street signee also reassures fans they can expect new music from The Team with their new collaborative 3 Kings mixtape which is set to drop sometime later this year.

Asher Roth drops by Snoop’s GGN show to smoke one and chop it up for a Q&A session with the boss dogg.  Roth opens things up by professing his love for the city of Philadelphia and San Francisco and reveals that he’s been friends with Justin Bieber since he was 13 years old.  Asher goes on to explain that he has original recordings of Justin gettin’ his rappin’ on and speaks highly of the young star’s talents.  Big Snoop and Asher also discuss the around-the-clock work ethic that revolves around Hip Hop after Roth shares that he enjoys getting as much Z’s in as he can.  Before heading out, Asher also explains why McDonalds’ Big Mac is his favorite burger of all time and how many times he thinks about sex daily.  Catch the comical and lighthearted interview below.

With me headed back to France, I felt inspired to kick a few bars over Picasso Baby.. The whole fly art talk that Jay was displaying on the track, bought me back to my visit to Le Louvre. And all the images that I would see in text books, and magazines.. I was now seeing in person. Who’d have thought a kid from the South Bronx would be able to see other parts of the world, doing something that he loves and believes in.. And always dreamed of. Rap Music! Enjoy yall.

Reign drops his new music video for “We Them Niggas” featuring A$AP Rocky.  Produced by Pro Logic, the Toronto native delivers the first look of what’s to come off his forthcoming mixtape, Dear America, which originally was suppose to release on July 4.  Directed by Footage, the visual is like night and day as P.
