VIDEO: Just Blaze Doc/Interview with Media Gasface – Breaks, Bread, & $100 Bills

CLICK HERE to check out this cool clip of Just Blaze detailing some of his thoughts on his sample selections and meeting some of the artists whose work he’s used.

Just tells a fascinating story about how he met the guy who wrote Bobby Glen’s “Sounds Like A Love Song”, which he sampled for Jay-Z’s “Song Cry”, while the guy was driving him somewhere in LA and recognized his name on the paperwork. He also speaks on other artists that he’s sampled that he later met or spoke to and how they they benefited from the proceeds of the Hip-Hop tracks that resulted. Finally he speaks on the influence of esteemed composer Galt McDermot and some of the many artists that sampled his work. Gasface will soon release the documentary,Looking For Galt, check out the trailer after the jump.

So if you’re an avid Jets x Taylor Gang fan then you already are aware of the tale that is How Fly?  Of course its the original mixtape that Spitta and Wiz put together some years back that was very well received.  Over the years there’s been talk of a follow up project entitled How Fly 2.  However, with minimal information it appeared the project was never going to appear until now.  Check out the quick Q&A on some of the music project’s specifics.

Alchemist speaks with DJ Pizzo of HipHopSite.Com about his 6-26-12 release, “Russian Roulette”, as well as upcoming full-length projects with Evidence (“Step Brothers”), Planet Asia + Killa Ben + Tri State (“Doo-Rag Dynasty”), Action Bronson (“Rare Chandeliers”), Roc Marciano, Boldy James, and the fate of his rumored projects with Curren$y, Freddie Gibbs, and…..Vanilli.

Looking forward to that “Cats & Dogs” album with Evidence.  Alchemist says the album is almost done and should be out this year.  Hopefully it sees the light of day.  He also states how the Curren$y rumored following project to Covert Coup may also someday see the light of day.  Let’s see if they can come together again and provide the world that dope music. Still, I could settle for the rumored Freddie Gibbs colab project. Practically anything alchemist touches he comes with it on the beats.
