Always one to be an innovator, Jet Life mastermind Curren$y and Jet Life International announced today that there next release will be a collaborative effort with BitTorrent. The big news doesn’t really come too much as a surprise as Curren$y has always embraced and utilized the internet as a means to release past projects and connect directly with his fan base. According to AllHipHop.com, the new Jet Life partnership will consist of a “Jet Life BitTorrent Bundle” which will contain not only new mixtape music but “HD video content, interactive tour promotional materials, an interactive Jet Life Apparel catalog, and exclusive contest opportunities.” It was also recently announced that Jet Life artists Corner Boy P, Fiend and Young Roddy will be hitting the road once again for “The Red Eye Tour” which will take off on August 26. Check out what Jet Life Digital Marketing and Brand Strategist, Austin Leigh Briggs, had to say about the new business move and upcoming dates in your city for the tour below.
“When the discussion began with BitTorrent, it became apparent that that Bundle format could help us reinvent and grow 2.0 mixtape culture,” added Austin Leigh Briggs, Jet Life Digital Marketing and Brand Strategist. “BitTorrent Inc. has been instrumental in helping us bring new ideas to life. We wanted to create a Bundle release that fans would genuinely appreciate, while also reinterpreting mixtape culture to mean more: making tour video, promotions, merchandise, and interactive contests part of the download experience.”
